Task:
Suzuki GSXR 1000 K7 “21”
Based on a standard GSXR1000K7 we built a genuine Superbike in two phases. In the first half of 2007, we took care of the châssis. This way, the customer could already participate at about 10 track days to get to know his bike, which was stripped in the winter of 2007-2008 for the more serious engine work. The engine was made entirely according to the preferences of the customer and was equiped with a digitalised dashboard with a GPS managed chrono and a basic data recording system.
Most of the parts used were custom made:
A real superbike spec suspension, composed of a FGR700 Öhlins gasfork, a TTX race shock absorber and a steering damper with GP specs, in order to assure a perfect steering. The brakes are also superbike worthy monobloc calipers in the front, and a minuscule GP caliper in the rear. The master cilinder are from Brembo and are CNC milled.
The triple clamps and clip-ons were custom made for the fork, just as the front axe. All brackets, supports and partitions were home made and anodised afterwards.
The swingarm has been de-lacquerred, polished by hand and welded to be able to work with the GP rear brake (thumb control) and the floating disks.
The magnesium wheels are from Marchesini, but have been adjusted in the front as well as in the rear for use on this bike.
The body work was done by Paint-Atelier, our fixed painter, while the rest of the bike was built with black aluminium and titanium bolts for a light and impeccable result.
During the winter, the engine was stripped and taken care of:
Yoshimura signed for all necessary engine parts, from intake over camshafs, reaction springs, slipper clutch, etc…
The titanium exhaust is from Akrapoviç and the engine management was made by Dynojet, just like the quick shifter.
