Projects: Suzuki GSXR1000K6

Task:

The first complete Suzuki project built in the EMC37 workshop. The mission was simple : build a bike within a given budget, as if you were building it for yourself.

The chassis was made with a Marzocchi RAC50 front fork, an Öhlins 46mm racing shock absorber and an Öhlins steering damper. The brakes are from Brembo, the clutch directed by cable has been transformed into a hydraulical directed clutch.

This bike was made as light as possible, and weighs just under 170 kg, without the gasoline. The composite EFI fuel reservoir is responsible for a loss of weight of 4 kg.

The engine management is done with a Power Commander and an Ignition Box, both from Dynojet, combined with an Akrapovic exhaust system. The engine was still standard in 2007. 2D procured the combinated laptimer-shiftlight.
